Through this mixed-method project it was found that there were two factors that determined an international students' sense of wellbeing.

These were 1) the international student program structures at each school, and 2) the students' belief in their English language proficiency.

In 2001 Kathryn completed her M.Ed at the University of Melbourne, which investigated the role of homestay hosts in the international education industry.
